Langlitz Leathers is a family business that was established in 1947 by Ross Langlitz. While we are no longer a basement operation, we stay small to guarantee the quality and personal attention that larger corporations just cannot provide.
Dave and Jackie’s daughter, Judy, has grown up in and around the shop. Tech, project, and artwork management are her preferred domain, but as the current owner, she dabbles in everything as she carries on the family name.
Our General Manager, Bennie, is our resident veteran of the U.S. Navy. He learned his work ethic and attention to detail while running mine sweeping operations. After the Navy, he followed his passion for building, wrenching and racing motorcycles. He has worked on all brands; Harley, Suzuki, BMW, Kawasaki, and Triumph, being just a few of his certifications. He also currently races in OMRRA ( Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Association); however, at the end of the day, his greatest joy is hanging with his two kids.
Jackie and Dave
We’re not sure who is the bigger cheese… Jackie or Dave. Jackie owned the shop after her father, and Dave was a long time head honcho. Although they are retired and now live on the beautiful Oregon coast, they still offer sage advice and keep a watchful eye over their beloved shop.
John is our production manager. He’s been here since 2001 and supervises all aspects of the production process. From fixing sewing machines, to the specialized skill of figuring the calculations for each customer’s custom fit.
Scott is our office administrator. He’s been here since 2005. Besides processing orders, and handling HR, he has the pleasure of chatting with customers all over the world to ensure they get exactly what they want.
